Day One & Day Two
The Santa Barbara Summit on Energy Efficiency focused on three themes: (1) Latest Technology Developments: Lighting, Buildings & Design, Production & Storage, Computing, and Electronics & Photonics; (2) Road to Commercialization; and (3) Current Policy Landscape. The technology sessions reflected the technology-focused solution groups of the Institute for Energy Efficiency (IEE). Research initiatives at the Institute for Energy Efficiency are taking place across the efficiency spectrum. The Institute has organized these efforts into six Solutions Groups, each of which has selected a Grand Challenge. The Grand Challenges are unifying goals, and are representative of each group’s area of focus. Each Challenge, when met, will provide solutions with immediate and lasting impact on the energy equation.

Energy Forum UCSB Launch Event
