MORE DETAILS How Darwinists Think Phillip E. Johnson
Friends
of Professor Johnson have been asking for more recent lecture videos from
him. Others have asked how Dr. Johnson has been doing since his stroke
several years ago, and if he is still giving public lectures. Now everyone
can find out for themselves by watching this lecture presented by Phillip
Johnson
before a large audience of students, faculty, and community members at
Northern Michigan University. In this lecture, Johnson begins with the Darwinian highwater mark: the 1959 centennial celebration of the publication of Charles Darwin's The Origin of Species. He describes some of the experiments and findings of the 1950s and how they led Darwinists to a sense of triumph, not just over science, but over our whole understanding of the world. Johnson then shows how supposed evidence for evolution has fallen into question and other concerns have arisen so that the triumphalism of 1959 has been reversed and the Darwinists are now on the defensive. Johnson informs the audience that his lecture is simply to set the stage for a 45 minute Question and Answer session that follows. Program recording date and length: October 2003~ 1 Hour 30 Minutes |
