Actor
Bruce Kuhn performs two one-act plays by Leo Tolstoy: "Two Old Men"
and "What Men Live By."
Bruce Kuhn was on Broadway in Les Miserables as Montparnasse
(and went on many times for Javert, the policeman) until he joined the
National Tour of the Broadway musical Chess. He also toured with the
Off Broadway
hit The Cotton Patch Gospel, Harry Chapins' one man musical. Three
seasons at Actors Theatre of Louisville saw him in roles as diverse as
D'Artagnan
in The Three Musketeers, Carl the homeless psychotic in Holy
Ghosts, Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Lachie the dying
Scotsman in The Hasty Heart and many assorted beggars, fops,
messengers and princes, as well as The Gospel of Luke. He toured
with the Company to the Sydney Festival in Australia, and to Eastern
Europe. Summer
stock credits include Starbuck in The Rainmaker, Romeo in Romeo
and Juliet, and most recently, the lead in Romance, Romance.
Mr. Kuhn received his classical training and Master of Fine Arts from
the
University of Washington's Professional Actor Training Program under Dr.
Robert Hobbs. He taught fencing and stage combat also in his exciting
career.
