Ted Jenkins

Ted Jenkins started his career at Fairchild Semiconductor Research and Development Laboratories as a process engineer in 1966. In 1968, he moved to Intel, where he held a variety of positions in wafer fabrication, ultimately leading that organization. He was appointed vice president and general manager of the memory components division in 1986. In 1990, Jenkins was named vice president and director of corporate licensing, and in 1996 was also appointed chairman of Intel's government affairs committee.

Mr. Jenkins is past chairman of the board of the California Manufacturers and Technology Association and a current member of the board of directors of Skyler Technology, Inc., a software start-up company. He has also served on the boards of the Information Technology Industry Council and the American Electronics Association. A Caltech alumnus (BS '65, MS '66), Jenkins was president of the Alumni Association from 2001 to 2002, and president of the Associates, a Caltech support organization in 2004-05. He was elected to CalTech's Board of Trustees in 2005.
