Amy & David Goodman
Amy Goodman is an investigative journalist and the host of the radio and television program “Democracy Now!” which is syndicated to more than 300 media outlets. It is broadcast daily on the University of California, Santa Barbara, radio station, KCSB fm, which sponsored the event with the Carsey-Wolf Center for Flim, Television and New Media. Appearing with Goodman was her brother, writer David Goodman, who co-authored Static: Government Liars, Media Cheerleaders, and the People Who Fight Back (Hyperion) with her. Static discusses government manipulation of the news, media corruption, and harassment of Bush administration critics, while also telling stories of people often overlooked in the mainstream press. This presentation was filmed at the University of California, Santa Barbara, on September 24, 2006, when Amy Goodman and David Goodman spoke there.
